We’re excited to welcome everyone to Norwalk for the Rails To Trails Marathon!

A few pieces of info for racers:

Registration is in the village park’s open (lower) shelter, located at 102 Mill Street on the day of the race. The race bibs, runners’ shirts, and bag check are here.

Registration times are as follows:

Marathon registration at 6:00 am with race at 8:00 am
1/2 Marathon registration at 7:30 am with race at 9:00 am
5k registration at 9:00 am with race at 10:00 am
1 mile fun run registration 10:00 am with race at 11:00 am

Chicken Dinner to follow the race (included for the marathon and 1/2 marathon). Food to be served to start around 11:00 am.

You can register online until October 1st at 3 pm.

Walk-in registrations are accepted on the day of the race. https://railstotrailsnorwalk.com

NOTES:

The site number indicates where spectators can watch the runners.

Aid station 4 is at summit and 6 is by the 1/2 marathon turn around both are hard to reach by vehicle from main roads. Yellow site signs are placed on highway 71

All aid stations have water and Gatorade. Aid stations 3 through 9 also have pretzels. The aid station at the finish line will have bananas, milk and beer for those of age. Some aid stations do have other goodies that the volunteers provide themselves.

full marathon

Starting at 8 am, run through a 3/4 mile
tunnel on this scenic route.

Race entry includes a chicken dinner.

half marathon

Starting at 9 am, you’ll get to run through the tunnel in this race too!

Race entry includes a chicken dinner.

5k

Be at the starting line at 10 am for this fun
race.

one-mile fun run

Be ready at 11 am to grab the kids and enjoy a fun one-mile stroll, or see who can finish the fastest!

Additional chicken dinner tickets are available when you register.

Time Limit

There is no limit to how long you can take to finish. However, participants will have a maximum of 6 hours to finish the full marathon in order to receive a participation medal.

Registration and packet pickup open at 6 am the day of the race.
